Job Description/Responsibilities:

Primarily responsible for the financial reporting for multiple venture capital funds. This position will report to a Fund Controller / Vice President and will supervise 1-3 fund accountant(s)/senior fund accountant(s).

This position will be required to do the following:

• Review daily/weekly journal entries in Allvue in connection with fund activity
• Review quarterly financial statements
• Review schedules and provide support in connection with the annual audit
• Assist in managing cash flow needs
• Various ad-hoc tasks, and other projects and deadlines that arise in relation to above

• Excellent organizational and time management skills with a strong ability to prioritize work
• Excellent communication skills
• Detail-oriented, a successful problem solver, and a team player with the ability to manage 1-3 direct-reports
• Knowledge of GAAP, ideally technical expertise of investment company accounting
• Works well under pressure and responds to deadline with urgency

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 5-10 years of experience in public accounting (ideally with experience in the investment management industry), and/or fund accounting at an asset management firm
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of Allvue is a plus
• Driven, self-starter
• CPA preferred
