At VIRIDIS, we pride ourselves on the caliber of our team. Every team member contributes to our clients’ success, upholding our core values of Integrity, Insight, and Ingenuity.
We would like to introduce you to the faces behind VIRIDIS by highlighting one of our great employees each quarter. This quarter, get to know Nicole Berg, a Senior Accounting Manager.

How did your first job out of college lead you to VIRIDIS, and what is your role here?
My first job out of college was in audit at EY, where I spent five years working with a variety of public companies. Although I never had the opportunity to work with private equity or venture capital clients, it was an area that had always intrigued me. That curiosity led me to a role on the Capital Activity team at Greenspring Associates, where I found the operational accounting role I had been looking for. Today, I’m a Senior Accounting Manager on the same team at VIRIDIS, overseeing the fund capital call and distribution processes. I love the dynamic nature of my role—no two weeks are the same, and each brings new challenges that keep me engaged and constantly learning.
What do you enjoy most about working at VIRIDIS?
I truly enjoy working in the venture capital industry—it’s fast-paced and dynamic yet refreshingly straightforward. There’s always a deal to fund or distributions to process, keeping my team engaged. I also love the people I work with. They’re a group of smart, driven individuals who set high expectations for themselves and our team. Their energy and ambition make every day more fulfilling.
Describe the company culture.
VIRIDIS strikes the perfect balance of being a close-knit, supportive team while having the robust resources of a larger firm. Our strong culture of teamwork and collaboration has allowed us to navigate many changes and challenges, even in our relatively short time as a fund administrator. It’s exciting to be part of a company with so many opportunities for growth and learning.
If you could speak to your younger self, what career advice would you give her?
I would tell my younger self to focus on becoming as well-rounded as possible. Excelling in your role is important, but having a broader understanding of the business adds even more value. The more you know, the better you can collaborate, drive efficiency, and contribute to overall success. I’d also remind her that mistakes are inevitable—what matters most is learning from them and moving forward.
What is the one weekend activity you enjoy most?
My husband and I love to start our Saturday mornings with an Orangetheory workout class, followed by a great cup of coffee. The rest of the weekend is all about spending time with friends and family, exploring the many hiking trails nearby, or unwinding at home while cooking a delicious meal together.
